Steak, egg and chips
Being big meat eaters, steak, egg and chips are a must in our family. Nothing beats a nicely cooked piece of steak. For this recipe I used oven chips instead of making homemade deep fried ones (although homemade ones win hands down every time!)
Ingredients:
1 x Rump Steak
1 x knob of butter
1x teaspoon of garlic, chopped
1 x teaspoon of mixed herbs, dried
1 x teaspoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Mix the olive oil, garlic and herbs together.
Rub into meat and allow to stand for 5/10 mins.
Heat a large pan and add the butter.
When the butter starts to sizzle (ensure you don’t overdo it as it will burn) add the steak.
Cook for 2 mins and turn cooking for a further 2 mins.
Allow to rest before serving.
Serve with egg and chips.
Please note:
Cooking time may vary according to how you like your steak done.
